Though they're no longer married, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were one of the most iconic couples of the last two decades.

Getting together just after Pitt's divorce from actress Jennifer Aniston, their relationship has always been in the headlines.

Pitt and Jolie have six kids, three of whom were adopted and three biological children. Here's everything you need to know about the Jolie-Pitt children.

Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt

Jolie adopted Maddox from a Cambodian orphanage in 2002, when he was seven months old. At the time, she was married to actor Billy Bob Thornton, but they separated three months later. She raised Maddox alone until 2006, when Pitt was appointed as his adoptive father.

There were rumours in 2016 that Maddox had a strained relationship with Pitt, after an alleged altercation on his private plane. Some sources claim that this incident also led to Jolie filing for divorce.

Maddox worked with his mother on the 2017 film First They Killed My Father, a historical thriller about a five-year-old child soldier during the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Jolie co-wrote and directed the film, while Maddox was the executive producer.

In 2019, Maddox moved to South Korea for college, studying biochemistry at Seoul's Yonsei University. When a paparazzi asked if his father would come visit him in Seoul, Maddox said: “I don't know about that.”

Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt

Pax was born in Vietnam in 2003, where he was abandoned by his biological mother soon after birth. He was adopted by Jolie in March 2007 as a three-year-old. Though she had been dating Pitt for two years by this point, Jolie adopted Pax as a single mother because Vietnam doesn't allow adoption by non-married couples. A year later he was adopted by Pitt in the USA.

In 2016, he had a small voice role in Kung Fu Panda 3, which Jolie also worked on. We don't know much else about Pax other than the fact he's recently begun learning Vietnamese, which he used to speak as a child.

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt

Zahara was born in Ethiopia, and adopted by Jolie six months later in 2005. Her birth mother abandoned her when Zahara developed health issues as an infant, and came forward after the adoption to say Zahara was “very fortunate” to have been adopted by Jolie. Pitt adopted her in the US in early 2006.

Zahara also had a small voice role on Kung Fu Panda 3. She designed a jewellery line, which she wore on the red carpet for the premiere of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

All proceeds from her jewellery sales went to shelters for victims of domestic violence.

In early 2020, Jolie revealed that Zahara had undergone multiple surgeries, but didn't say why. Pitt missed out on the BAFTAs, where he was nominated, to be with his daughter.

Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt

Shiloh, or John, is Jolie and Pitt's first biological child, born in 2006. The couple went to Namibia for the birth, in order to avoid the intense media scrutiny on their family at the time.

The media went absolutely nuts for Brangelina's new baby: the first photos of Shiloh were sold for US$4.1 million (approx. $5.8 million) by People, and she became the first-ever infant to be immortalised in wax by Madame Tussauds.

From a young age, Jolie says that Shiloh “wanted to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair,” she told Vanity Fair in 2010. “She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers.”

Back in 2008, Pitt told Oprah: “She only wants to be called John. John or Peter.”

Jolie revealed that Shiloh had a hip operation around the same time that Zahara underwent surgery.

Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt

Twins Knox and Vivienne were born in Nice, France in 2008. The first photos of them were sold for a whopping US$14 million (approx. $20 million), which was donated to the Jolie-Pitt foundation. They remain the most expensive namlimquangnam.net photos ever taken.

Knox was named after Pitt's grandfather, while Vivienne's middle name was her maternal grandmother's first name.

In 2014, Vivienne starred alongside her mother in Maleficent, as the younger version of Aurora. In 2016, Knox joined some of his siblings and also voiced a character in Kung Fu Panda 3.

Who has custody of Brangelina's kids?

Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, and requested physical custody of all six kids. In late 2018, a new arrangement was established which would see them share physical and legal custody. Since their divorce was finalised in mid-2019, the pair have been co-parenting.

During the COVID-19 pandemic all six children were living with Jolie at her house in Los Angeles, and Brad was seen visiting from time to time.
